“Art is unquestionably one of the purest and highest elements in human happiness. It trains the mind through the eye, and the eye through the mind. As the sun colors flowers, so does art color life.” ~John Lubbock (1834-1913), “The Pleasures of Life”

THE CAE MISSION

To help create and foster access to art and culture in areas where access is limited.

We believe that all should be able to experience, grow, challenge and be challenged to reach ones full potential regardless of financial position.

Culture and art is a conduit which helps to build better communities in turn provides an environment conducive to enriching the mind, body and spirit. Helping to fulfill the vision of the visionaries is a win win situation for all involved.

From Europe through Asia in ancient times, Kings would offer Patronage to those that created beauty through art, be it painting, sculpting, music, performance or other forms of enrichment. Even as far back as the ancient World, Kings, Queens and Royalty understood the benefit of art in ones Kingdom or Province. Not only does it provide beauty and tranquility, they realized that there were many health benefits associated with art and their particular culture. Kingdoms would introduce foreign culture to their areas which would inspire higher learning and consciousness.

It is important for any society to embrace, encourage and help those that have vision, for they are the ones that help to make our lives enriched and enjoyable. Art helps to build unity in the community and to bring all people to the same table opening dialog and ideas. Working together and enjoying others work is the essence of the one race we call the human race.

Art helps to unify the World in a way which is possible, but not yet fulfilled. Art bridges gaps of socioeconomic, racial, religious or non-religious, age, and all conditions of the human spirit. Art brings people together to experience different perspectives and cultures that can enlighten, enrich and educate. Expanding the mind is a crucial part of expanding a society in a positive direction. When one closes their mind, the hope for possibility diminishes.

The CAE believes that one of the best ways to help heal the World is through exposure and education to art and culture. We can only truly appreciate all aspects of culture and art by participating in the interactivity of working and appreciating together.

Health Benefits of Art

Mental and physical health care professional from around the World agree that there are benefits to the exposure to art.

Clinical trials and studies from esteemed medical research centers and higher learning facilities such as Harvard, Yale, Stanford and many more are praising the benefits of exposure to art.

Treating depression, anxiety, forgetfulness, addiction, mode swings as well as physical rehabilitation with art is becoming more and more common.

Art and exposure to one's own and foreign culture can open up pathways that would never be possible otherwise.

Imagine solving a problem before it even arises? We are not stating that all issues can be solved with allowing access to art and culture, but some are and it never hurts. Art and Culture help to create a healthy environment and for some a means to create an income while beautifying the World.

The brain is divided into two hemispheres.

The left side performs tasks that have to do with logic, such as in science and mathematics.

The right hemisphere coordinates the left side of the body, and performs tasks that have do with creativity and the arts.

Both hemispheres are connected to the same body, and both serve a very important function. Without one or the other, it would be hard to survive.

The World understands that we need the logical side to survive, but sadly many do not understand that we also must nourish and work with the creative side in order to create balance. A well balanced mind and body is a healthy mind and body.

“Art making has the ability to move people along their journey of grief and loss into a more balanced place of healing and hope. In the face of tragedy, the creative process can help re-calibrate a mourner’s life.” ~ The Chandler Gallery at Maud Morgan Arts

The Cultural Arts Endeavor is expanding and fostering communication with education of cultures and ideas.

Life can be very difficult, art can help make the journey a more pleasant and even enjoyable experience. Art has the ability to help heal broken individuals and transform their lives.

We are not doctors and make no medical claims.  We can only shed light on the journey of the people we have encountered in this quest.  Here are some of their stories...
